Beschreibung

My name is Eve Levi and I am originally from Madison, Wisconsin. I am a full time farmer living in Oregon. I am easy-going yet constantly active. I do not shy away from hard work and am always excited to learn new things and physically challenge myself! I love working outdoors and prefer to be outside for the majority of each day.

I will be taking a sabbatical from my farming job this November and am currently looking for Workaway opportunities in South America and Hawaii. These are areas of the world that I have always longed to explore and would love the opportunity to be an active member of the community in places I am traveling to.

I spent all of 2020 traveling to different places within the US working on farms and fell in love with doing work that creates tangible results. I am open to doing a lot of different varieties of work. I am also a people person, and love living in community and interacting with new people on a regular basis. One day I would love to own my own farm that directly serves my community.

I have participated in multiple Workaways in the past and they have all been positive experiences. I have also WWOOFed (World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms) at a farm in California, a ranch in Colorado, a kayak ecotourism business in Alaska, and a homestead in North Carolina.

If given the opportunity, I would be incredibly excited to get to know you and share more of my life with you! Work exchange experiences have always proved to be truly life-changing for me!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I am open to learning how to help with anything and everything! That being said, here are some of the areas I have experience in:
I worked at an Artists Refuge in Montana where I assisted in the construction of various buildings using cordwood masonry.
I worked at a commune in Virginia where I assisted in various carpentry projects and learned how to use power tools, install solar panels, and build a variety of structures.
I worked at a farm in Santa Cruz, CA where I learned what went into planting, harvesting, and selling a variety of produce.
I have had a lot of experience with animals throughout my life. While working on a farm in California and ranch in Colorado I learned how to care for cows, lambs, pigs, chickens, geese, bunnies, horses, and goats. I have had/currently have dogs and cats, of which I have helped to care for from a young age and absolutely adore.
I was a member of a pre-professional dance company for all four years of high school. It was through this experience that I learned the power of teamwork and commitment.
I worked at a kayak ecotourism business in Alaska last summer where I learned a lot about customer service as well as how to live remotely with no running water, cell service, etc...
I worked many summers as a lifeguard and head lifeguard. This gave me experience serving and caring for people of all ages, as well as supervising other employees.
I have been a babysitter for multiple families as well as taught swim lessons to kids ages 1-12. I have experience taking care of and teaching kids of all different ages.
I have worked for two years at a performance venue in Arizona, which has given me experience in customer service.
I worked at my local Rape Crisis Center for one year, where I researched issues surrounding sexual assault and presented my findings to local legislature, education leaders, teachers, and students.
I am fluent in English and would be open to teaching my native language to any of my hosts who may want to improve their English.
I love to cook and experiment with new recipes. Some of my specialties include stir fry, sourdough bread, curry, and a variety of soups. I would love to cook for you and exchange recipes!

Was noch ...

I am adventurous and like to be active! I have gone on many backpacking trips, and in my free time love to explore the places I'm in through hiking and camping. I am also a bit of a musician and if you happen to have a guitar or ukulele hanging around I would love to sing with you!
