Hi!
My name is Emma and I am originally from Texas but am currently work ing the summer season on a ferry boat up in Alaska. After my summer work is finished, I am planning on traveling to a few countries in South America starting mid-October. I have a background in sustainable tourism and marine conservation and one of my biggest passions in life is traveling and exploring new cultures. Currently I am also completing my online TEFL certification to hopefully work abroad again soon. I have spent the last couple years working on a whale watching boats in Western Australia and other locations across their country. Volunteering and working in other countries in the past has inspired me to become open-minded and learn new skills. Some things that make me happy include swimming, hiking, reading, being around animals, and going out with friends.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have past work experience working as a tour guide, lifeguard, English teacher, deckhand, receptionist, dog walker, and farm worker.
Many of my jobs in the past have been physical and require long hours outside, which includes teaching swim lessons, banana farming, cleaning boats, and ID-ing fish species underwater. I enjoy active work and love cooking and gardening back home with my family.
As a past lifeguard and rescue scuba diver, I consider myself a strong swimmer and am first aid/CPR certified. I also volunteered at aquariums and animal shelters so I enjoy being around and taking care of different species of animals.

Hobbies and interests that I have include learning new skills. I would love to learn more about trades in general and help in anyway I can. I enjoy reading books about famous conservationists like Jane Goodall and Steve Irwin, and also really love card games and board games like monopoly and boggle.
