Hi , I'm Emily - I am 25 from the south of Ireland and currently looking for volunteer opportunities around Europe with a keen interest in the Nordic region. Right now I am volunteering at a nonprofit in a small village 1 hour outside of Berlin, Germany. While here, I have been assisting with tasks in the kitchens, as well as maintaining the indoor and outdoor spaces for the guests to enjoy this beautiful space.

I am in an amazing position to continue travelling for a few more months, so I have a curiosity to visit some more new places and meet other likeminded people. I am a creative person who enjoys art, music, film, photography, and community has always been something I hold close to my heart!

Three new things I have tried this year have been: Bouldering, Swing Dance Lessons, and watching at least one movie every week.

I am very eager to get stuck into new projects and excited to discover new things about myself in the process. Looking forward to connecting with you soon!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I studied journalism and digital media at third level and have always had a passion for photography and storytelling through visual media. I am a tech savvy individual who knows my way around different equipmemt and software and have a great eye for detail.

Alongside my studies, I worked for a cleaning agency managing all different environments including hospitals, factories, offices, hotels, and even a converted convent once! I have a proven ability in keeping spaces to a high standard and working to tight deadlines while completing tasks such as making beds, deep cleaning rooms, and general tidying of indoor and outdoor spaces.

In June of this year, I left my job working in a co-working space for entrepreneurs where I carried out a number of different roles including engaging with student bodies, programme coordination and administration, marketing, as well as receptionist work.This experience has allowed me to strengthen my communication and people skills.

In my home city, I have volunteered with art organisations, helping out with exhibition set ups and art installation, through which I have gained some hands-on experience in light building and repairing.

My workaway experience so far has been an incredible way to build new skills and I wish to continue improving myself and exploring new interests!
