Ich bin gerade

Beschreibung

Hi. Thank you for reading my profile. I am Ellen and I am originally from Malaysia (Sarawak) but have been living in The Netherlands since I was six years old.

I am a down to earth person and I love to make new connections and explore the world. A quote that really resonates with me is from William Butler Yeats: “There are no strangers here; Only friends you haven’t yet met.” I am part of a great global community that believes in getting out of your comfort zone and making meaningful connections. I try to see the best in people and learn from different kinds of perspectives.

I love the little things in life, such as petting a dog along my way to work (petting animals in general). Enjoying the sounds of nature. But I mostly enjoy making memories with great people.

Last year was a year full of loss and hardships and unfortunately the start of 2024 has been no different. So, I have decided to take a breather and return back to the nature of Malaysia. I am taking this time to reflect, grieve, heal, travel and above all ignite my spark again by making connections and showing kindness to all who are roaming this earth.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Hospitality:
I have worked in the hospitality for over more than 10 years. At a hotel I worked as a housekeeper, breakfast employee and night receptionist. For a large hotel brand I have been responsible for their Dutch/Flemish and English speaking customers for all things related to their (potential) reservations.

Besides that I enjoyed working at several restaurants and cafe's. Working flexible hours, bartending, serving and being the supervisor.

Business:
I have my Business Administration Bachelor. I have worked in sales, as IT support, IT Trainer and Business Analist.

Animals:
I love animals and used to volunteer at an animal shelter. I used to ride horses and loved riding them outdoors and I would be comfortable to pick that back up. In other words, if there are animals on the property, I would be open to help out in taking good care of them.
