Beschreibung

Hi! I’m Ella, a 24-year-old from Melbourne, Australia, travelling with my boyfriend Tom. We love travelling in a way that lets us really experience a place, meet local people and get involved rather than simply passing through as tourists.

I’m currently finishing my degree in International Relations and have experience across community organisations, operations, events and project support. Tom is a carpenter, so he’s very practical and particularly enjoys building, fixing things and working with his hands.

We’re both easygoing, curious and happy to get stuck in and help wherever we can. We love being outdoors, meeting people from different backgrounds and learning new skills, and we’re especially drawn to projects involving conservation, community, sustainability and nature. For us, the best part of travelling is the people we meet and the experiences we wouldn’t have had at home.

We have a good mix of practical, organisational and people-focused skills between us.

I’m Ella, and my experience is mainly in operations, administration, events, customer service and community organisations. I’m confident with organisation, communication, research, social media and general project support, and I’m comfortable working with guests and people from different backgrounds. I’m also very happy to get involved in gardening, cooking, cleaning, painting and other hands-on jobs — I don’t mind getting my hands dirty!

Tom is a qualified carpenter with professional experience in construction and building. He’s confident with tools and can help with carpentry, repairs, maintenance, building projects, furniture and other practical work. He’s a great problem-solver and is used to physically demanding work.

We’re both adaptable, hardworking and keen to learn. We don’t expect to only do things we already know how to do and are very happy to be shown new skills and help wherever we’re most useful.
