Currently on our second Workaway in Thailand, we loved it so much we actually sold up all our stuff in the UK and are committed to travelling with purpose!

Beschreibung

After years of the rat race, we are living the life we both want. The last couple of years has seen myself and my hubby Jack (after 28yrs) become completely aligned in what is important to us. Being kind to others, protecting our beautiful planet, learning more about what we can do and a passion to share that knowledge is our priority.
Nothing brings us more happiness than packing up the camping gear and spending the weekend in a remote field with no wifi and plenty of nature to explore.
The end goal was to volunteer abroad, it seems everyday we watch and cry at the devastation in the main humans are causing to our planet and all that it holds. The thought of making even the slightest positive impact fills us both with absolute joy, excitement and PURPOSE. And now here we are, blending purpose and travel!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

EXPERTISE:
Jack is a qualified driving instructor and as such, has 16 years expertise in teaching, guiding and coaching people from age 17 upwards from all different backgrounds, giving them the ability to drive and be responsible drivers. Dealing with individuals of all confidence levels and some with challenging conditions such as anxiety, dyslexia, dyspraxia and other mental health conditions. His patience and commitment is second to none.
Donna has over 25 years of coaching expertise, having led teams of up to 12 people in the financial sector to meet the expectations of the role and meet their potential. A sustainability lead within the corporation means taking responsibility to create awareness and drive change to support a more sustainable way of working.
We're both fluent in English and are currently deciding what second language we would like to learn.
EXPERIENCE
Jack has experience of working in the building industry and Donna will turn her hand to anything no matter how physically demanding.
Donna is also a gifted artist who has volunteered at primary schools with extra curricular Art Clubs offering an environment for underprivileged children to express themselves through art.
We both have experience of camping with just the basics and have traveled extensively albeit as a tourist until now.
FITNESS & Wellbeing LEVEL: We are both fit and healthy and at 61 (Jack) and 51(Donna) we take care of our health and fitness. This means we are able to take on any kind of physical work, and our love of walking/trekking means we also have the stamina to travel on foot where needed.
NUTRITION & COOKING: Donna can cook ANYTHING (well so Jack says) having experience of preparing all kinds of meals (including plant based) with the right nutrition and a really strong understanding of what the body needs to strive and survive. She loves cooking for the masses and seeing empty plates!

We love all sorts of board games, from Scrabble to Monopoly and we play cards

Going to the gym is important to us but lock-down allowed us to learn how to maintain fitness without equipment

Donna completed a Mental Health Awareness Course in Oct 2023 and has also been a Mindfulness rep at work for 2 yrs

We love foraging and finding Food for Free in nature finding herbal treatments rather than conventional prescription drugs, preserving jams and sauces for future use.
