I'm on a solo motorbike road trip through Europe. I left the Netherlands, my home, in september and will continue my way through Greece, Italy and Switzerland. :)

Beschreibung

I left home to go on my first solo trip ever, accompanied with my motorbike Pruttel. :) I made my way across the Balkans and have been on the road for five months now. My way will continue to Italy although I go where and when feels right. :)

I have absolutely loved Workaway so far, since it's a beautiful way for me to experience other lifestyles and perspectives. I love listening to people and getting to know one's view on life. I am eager to learn new things. My bucket list is endless. From all the outdoor sports I'd love to learn like watersports, I would also like to improve my skills in yoga and mindfulness. I am also open to share some artsy stuff. I have always loved painting and drawing.

I finished my third year of food and dietetics so I have one more year to go. I took a year off to travel before I graduate from the course. I come from being a child who barely talked to solo travelling a few months. I started growing as a person and felt like taking more time to develop myself even more by travelling before I start working in nutrition.

At home I work out four-five times a week in the gym besides yoga and survivalrun. Sports is a way for me to feel good and train myself in consistency and perseverance. Not only movement but the whole lifestyle is important to me as well. :)

Was könntest du arbeiten?

During the last half year of my course I studied psychology, focused on changing behaviour and getting trained to become a coach.

Besides my study I love to experience a variety of jobs. I worked as a babysitter, in a nursery, as shop assistent, as groceries deliverer, in the sales, as car deliverer, did festival work and I train children in the beautiful sport of gymnastics.

My activities during Workaway stays so far have been helping a small farm preparing a retreat, living in a remote mountain hut serving bypassing hikers some good Bosnian coffee and helping with some construction work. :)

I grew up on an old farm and used to help my father around. I don't mind getting my hands dirty. I am not scared of physical work like stacking or chopping wood. I enjoy the outdoorsy work.

Was noch ...

This trip has so far given me a lot of beautiful insights. I have seen a great variety of people and ways of living. It changes my perspective of life, happiness and society. I couldn't be more grateful for that.

While I travel I keep up with my journal. Ever since I could hold a pencil, I kept a diary. So almost all my life I have been writing about my daily life, major life events, thoughts, feelings, dreams. While this trip I'm writing even more because of all the things I am experiencing! It is a way for me to process my thoughts and think about the day. I could not image travelling without writing!

Besides writing, you might find me drawing. I draw or paint when some form of inspiration comes to me. :)
