Hi, I'm so excited about workaway. I'm a retired police officer and Mum of 2 amazing young women. I live in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire. I now spend my days maintaining my small organic veg garden, foraging in the forest and hiking in the beautiful Brecon Beacons.
I love rural life and have spent a lot of time working on an organic farm in Bosnia where we collected and stacked hay, milked and looked after cows in the old fashioned way. I am not afraid of hard work or getting dirty. We have recently lost our beautiful 15yr old Irish Setter and I have been using much of my newly acquired free time to re-kindle my love of travel and languages.
I enjoy being with people and in the past I have run art clubs in my children's primary school.
I'm well travelled, sociable and happy to learn new skills or just get messy labouring.
Look forward to making new friends and memories. -
