Beschreibung

Hey. I'm a 21 year old from Flanders, Belgium. I am dangling in between childhood and adulthood, dependence and independence.
At this stage in live I'm trying to learn as much as possible, not in a classroom but trough thinking, talking, experiencing, ... I (kind off) finished my degree in photography. Upcoming year(s) I'm going to travel and workaway a bunch. I'm trying to learn skills that will help me become more and more self-sufficient, indepentent and active.
I'm energetic and enthusiastic but can also be calm and collected. I'd say I can use this head of mine quiet well.
I used to spent a lot of time at home, distracting myself from the looming hopelessness of the future. But I'm trying to break this habbit. I no longer want to look away. I feel a strong moral obligation to face the problems at hand. A friend of mine put it to me like this. "I don't want to have to tell my children that I didn't even try."

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have some basic knowledge of construction, as my dad has been RENOVATING our house for the last 20 years. Same thing for working in the GARDEN. At a past workaway I learned some things about forestry. I'm especially interested in growing food, as I'm trying to become more and more self-sufficient and less depending on large systems. Recently I have been making my own wooden climbing holds. I would love to further develop my WOODWORKING skills.
I have a bachelor degree in PHOTOGRAPHY (Luka School of Arts) but I no interest to work in that field. I will most likely bring a camera of sorts, perhaps even an analogue one. I could if you want take photo's during my stay for a website, social media, the workaway-site,...
As a toddler I was sent to gymnastics lessons because I had a bit too much energy. In other words I was impossible to handle sometimes. I competed in gymnastics at the highest level until I was 16. I could TEACH you how to do a handstand, cartwheel or flip if you'd like. The last couple of years I've been very into climbing, especially BOULDERING.
Because of this I am pretty fit and I could help you with some of the more physical work. I'm especially fond of CHOPPING WOOD. Give me an axe and a pile of wood and I will be working up a sweat with a smile on my face.
I regularly STRETCH and have been following some yoga routines as well. I have been told by a few people I'm rather good at MASSAGING. I am looking to learn more about this (always looking for bodies to practice on).
I love working with (other species of) ANIMALS. I've always found great friends in DOGS. The bigger the dog the better. I want to learn more about their behavior and psychology.
