Hello, we are Dana and Dominik. :)
After nearly six years together, we have decided to take on the next exciting adventure in our relationship.
At the end of July, our work contracts will come to an end, and we are planning to travel through Europe for a year. We would love to stay for a couple of weeks at each place to get to know the people, their culture, and their environment. We also want to deepen our connection with ourselves and explore the beautiful nature of different countries. That’s why we created this Workaway account.

Dominik has a Bachelor's degree in Childcare and used to work at a youth orphanage with teenagers aged 14 to 18.
Dana has a Master's degree in Workplace Health and Diversity and used to work as a Qualification Trainer for young people with disabilities.

In our spare time, we take care of our garden, enjoy spending time outdoors, play lots of board games, go hiking, take trips on our bicycles, and do creative crafts — especially woodworking and painting. Dana is also into yoga and attends weekly aerial yoga classes. Recently, she has started taking keyboard lessons.

Living a healthy life is also important to us. We try to stay active and put a lot of thought into what we eat. On a regular basis, we try new recipes from all around the world and explore the flavors of different food cultures.
Two years ago, we decided to adopt a vegetarian lifestyle, but we are still open to trying dishes we have never had before.

We would be happy to get to know you and to receive inquiries from you. Of course, we are open to video calls to ensure a better introduction beforehand.
We are very flexible regarding the length of our stays — we prefer around 3 to 4 weeks but are also open to your ideas and wishes.
We are looking forward to spending time together.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

We are a dedicated and versatile team with a wide range of practical skills and a strong passion for hands-on work and social interaction. We both feel at home in the garden: we reliably take care of planting flowers and vegetables, weeding, and mowing the lawn. We also assist with harvesting and bring experience in sustainable gardening practices. Just this year, Dominik installed a new fence in the garden and tore down a small roof.

Whenever possible, we carry out renovation work in our home ourselves. In our most recent project, we renovated and furnished a hobby room entirely according to our own ideas. We also try to take care of repairs around the house independently whenever we can – for example, we recently patched and repaired small damages ourselves. Next on our list are a self-built herb spiral made from recycled natural stone and the construction of a raised garden bed – both as sustainable additions to our outdoor space.

In the household, Dana ensures cleanliness, order, and organization – whether it’s cleaning, doing laundry, or managing purchases and further tasks. Dominik complements this with his practical skills: handling small repairs, demolition work, and physically demanding tasks efficiently. We both enjoy cooking, with a particular love for fresh, regional, and vegetable-based meals.
Our love for animals is reflected in our experience with both dogs and cats – we have each cared for animals over many years. In terms of interpersonal skills, we bring empathy and competence: Thanks to his professional training and his experience helping to raise his five younger siblings, Dominik has gained extensive experience in working with and caring for children – from toddlers to teenagers. Dana, on the other hand, brings experience in teaching and explaining learning content from her professional work – structured, patient, and tailored to individual needs.
We are both mobile and hold valid driver’s licenses. Dominik speaks excellent English, and Dana also speaks English with the desire to continue improving.
We are inquisitive and interested to learn and approach challenges together with motivation and a strong sense of responsibility.

Was noch ...

We are interested in a wide variety of activities and always enjoy trying new things. Together, we love playing all kinds of board and card games – our collection is large and constantly growing. We’re always open to new ideas and inspiration.

We regularly express our creative side by exploring new DIY projects – from crafting small pieces of jewelry and handmade cards to designing canvases and even building and decorating our own balance boards. We also enjoy musical hobbies: we play the ukulele and keyboard, and we're interested in taking a dance course as well.

We try to incorporate our hobbies and interests into our everyday life – Dana enjoys reading books or practicing juggling, while Dominik likes wood carving and relaxing with video games. We’re also active when it comes to sports and love trying different things: swimming, cycling, bouldering, aerial yoga, or simply playing a game of basketball – we’re curious, versatile, and always on the move.
