Hi

I'm Walter, allround musician, filmmaker, food forager, cook and I love to work with my hands with wood and do some gardening.

After trips to France, Galicia, Poland, Czech Republic Germany, Switzerland, Extremadura and Portugal back in Belgium, my homeland.

Did a lot of experimenting with off grid systems and sustainable living methods. With using new technologies or simple basic but efficiënt tools.
I make video's from my tests and like to interview people who have interesting things to say about permaculture, herbalism and so on.

Besides that I do basic carpentry, mostly for my mini-van. In fact I like working with wood very much.
Installed a solar panel system with batteries. Using off grid tools.

Cooking and experimenting with edible wild plant which I grow in my garden is one of my favourite activities.

So if any of this can be of use for you, don't hesitate to contact me. I'm now available for new projects.

Haven't been on workaway for a while and couldn't accept the invitations until now, due to covid and after that personal obligations (taking 24/7 care for my wife, passed away in 2022).
So no feedback on my profile unfortunately :-(

My work before retirement consisted of programming, HTML, CSS , database connections and SEO/SEM for websites. It was fun. Now I look for another challenge.

Recently I'm doing some carpentry on my little van. Love working with wood. Though don't posses the right tools for doing the job I find creative solutions to get things done. When I'm travelling I'l bring a concise set of tools. But don't take me for a professional carpenter. This wouldn't be correct regarding people who make a living of that.

I'm into videography, music and related arts 😁
Last year I took care for farms while the owner is on holidays. But not via workaday. If you'd like some credentials please ask.
Wintertime mostly feeding the animals and chopping wood. Summertime tending the garden and/or animals (mostly watering the plants while it is dry).

Skill I love:
- creating a food forest
- cooking with wild edible plants
- most of all finding sustainable solutions to make life more comfortable
- making educational video's
- helping out with installing solar panels
- gardening / permaculture / pruning trees / making mulch
- finding handyman solutions
- cooking / washing dishes
- transferring my extentive knowledge on various subjects

My hobbies:
Writing and playing music, screenwriting,, hiking, discussing the meaning of life (or love), staring at the stars, working together with creative people...

Preparing for an eco-roadtrip to southern Europe, having some instruments with me (even a mini-keyboard).

Consider myself as an scientific artist more than a filmmaker or musician.
Open to learn new things, meet new people and exchange views and ideas.
