Beschreibung
Hi! I'm Colin, originally from Nottingham, UK.
I’ve always been passionate about nature and the outdoors and I'm eager to gain new skills, friendships and experiences working with you on your current projects. I'm particularly interested in learning and improving skills in d.i.y, animal care, gardening, and learning about self-sufficiency.
Immediately before workaway, i worked for myself for over 3 years as a gardener and landscaper. This helped me improve my organisational skills, discipline, and responsibility, and brought me into contact with many different people.
Before this, I studied horticulture at university, and worked in retail, hospitality, and at an addiction recovery centre, where I've honed my customer service and people skills.
Voluntary placements at a city farm and community allotments have also occupied my time.
In my free time i enjoy reading and drawing, but i also like to explore new places by foot and by bicycle. i also have interests in meditation, yoga, and the natural world.
Conscientious and introverted i like some quiet time, but i also enjoy other people's company, engaging in conversation, and working with others towards a common goal.

Staying with Eamon, Anna, Johanna and Gráinne on their farm has been a great experience for me. I've been made to feel at home, sometimes watching a film or playing games in the evening or having my own time to read or go and talk to the animals. The pet dogs and cats are super friendly too.

I had a good 2.5 weeks in Pembroke at Richard's place. Richard is a great cook and i never went hungry. The work in the garden was mainly clearance and landscaping and once shown what to do, i was left to get on with it. Richard is knowledgeable about Pembrokeshire and it's history and was happy to drive me to places at the weekend
