I'm a single mom traveling around the world with my 2 boys that are 10 and 13, we Worldschool which means that by exploring the world we learn from new experiences everyday.

hola , salut , hello,
I'm Colette, a single mo traveling around the world with my 2 boys that just turned 10 and 13. We come from the GALAPAGOS ISLANDS? a long place away and a very remote lifestyle on a smalll islands is where se used to be; I work there as a tour guide in the National Park and also in the Marine Reserve as a diver. I've been a host for many years and had workawayers come and stay with us while I was building my house there as well as the garden. we also hosted a lot od coushsurfers and they all were rewarding cultural exchanges that probably led me now to wanting to do the same with my boys ,a nd to travel and be of help anywhere around, from house chores , to language exchange (french, spanish, english) to helping in bigger project like gardening , construction, animal care,etc... my kids are easy going and eager to learn , as this is the way we do it. We are worlschoolers and also Galapagos amabassadores , so we want tofind communities and places that would have interest in learning more about the islands as well.

we speak fluent spanish and french and I would like for my boys to continue learning english , so language exhange is definetely something we'd be up for even though it ain't usually the sole reason for the workaway. we usually will stay with families that will speak other languages and that way naturally get to practice both ways on top of the other experiences.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

We are looking for a family friendly environment , where ideally my worldschooling boys of 10 and 13 years old will be welcome int helping out as this the way they are learning about life and we are traveling all over the world this way , looking for new expereinces for them to dicover and that way to probably find their purpose in life.
I can help with all house chores, from the classic daily cooking , to takins care of the kids to cleaning up , etc. I was very much involved in the condtruction of my own house and garden in the Galapagos islnads , so any hand on work is really great to get to do , as i'm more of an outdoorsy person.
I'd love to get involved with permacultures porjects , buiding and so many other skills that we can learn quite fast when we are open to new opportunities

Another thing we'd like to bring to the experience , is that we come from a really uniaue place , the Galapagos islands , and we are on a mission to bring knowledge about them to the world.

I will be super happy to host lectures or talk , or simple story telling adapted to all ranges of ages: From storytelling, crafting to the youngest in the family, to more developed talks or lectures for the older or even more scientific if interested.

I can do this not only with your familiy , but would actually to reach out to more people , so if you have a group of possible interested persons , that would be amazing.

we work with a non profit back in the Galapagos about environmental education and our trip is also being shared with them so they can discover the world thru our experiences (hence with you too)

  my 13 years old has a lot of issues with ffod , I will usually bring stuff for me to cook and feed him, no real allergy though
