Is mise Cole MhicFhionghain from Clan MacKinnon.
I am Inntinne Ceilteach and five generations ago, ancestral ties bind to Skye in the Inner Hebrides.

I believe that locally enacted, globally-connected, community-led direct action is a powerful means of regeneration: socially, ecologically and politically.

In this life, I am dedicated to reclaiming who I am in this world and standing in solidarity with on-the-ground communities.. Often I find myself learning, unlearning, learning again and living. I am dedicated to my core values; Authenticity, Growth, thoughtfulness and Loyalty.

I was born in the City of Oshawa, the land of the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation, and part of the Michi Saagiig, Chippewa Anishinaabeg and Williams Treaties. Kanadario, Northern Turtle Island.

For those of you who are Volunteers,

I welcome the encounter ~

As I am, you can expect me to treat you regardless of who you are, with the highest respect. I tend to overthink, which means you can also expect me to be considerate, open and caring.

As a teammate, I will encourage you to do better. I enjoy planning and taking advantage of learning opportunities.

As a friend, you can expect me to be present when together, I'm a great empathizer. Together we can make a safe space.

Significant discoveries

Having prior involvement in lawn care, I found myself questioning these practices... I have since distanced myself from traditional lawn care culture due to the realization of the destructive effects it has and in good faith of true decolonization.

I have great respect for the many who practice veganism. When it comes to ethical consideration I have come to realize that just because something is vegan doesn't mean it's ethical or healthy. The systemic large-scale abuse of land and animals is still there, it just shifts from domestic animals to native biodiversity. I aim to target the direct separation of the relationship I have with my food.
