Aloha/ Kia ora/ Hola/ Hello,

My name is Clay. I'm a 30 year old man coming from Hawai'i, and I couldn't be more excited to be living in New Zealand for the next year :)

I'm motivated by opportunities that allow me to build community, explore new wilderness settings, and that challenge me to learn.


I'm currently located in Hawai'i and am a live-in manager at a popular eco-hospitality destination. My role consists of managing a 13 person work-trade community, an organic farm in which we host farm-to-table cooking classes, an Airbnb cabin rental business, and property management of 20 acres of land in Hawaii's lush farm lands. I'll be moving to New Zealand June 1st with a year long work-visa and hope to step into lots of volunteering as well as hospitality work, farm work, and event management.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have a background in leadership/management in eco-hospitality. Most recently I worked at the Kulaniapia Community Project, which is an off-the-grid 40 acre property located in Hawai'i that offers lodging to guests from all over the world. It also provides farm-to-table cooking classes/farm tours, massage therapy, waterfall rappelling, and more.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Anthropology, and Sociology. I also have a degree in Massage Therapy with an active license as a massage therapist.

Previous job experience has also included: barista in a café, hot springs spa attendant and massage therapist, raft guide, backpacking/trekking guide, gardener, farmer, manual laborer, outdoor sports instructor for kids, addiction counselor, and acupuncturist.
