Hi! I'm Clara, a 23-year-old from southern Spain. I'm a psychologist who loves meeting new people, learning about different cultures and stepping outside my comfort zone.

I'm a calm, positive and respectful person who enjoys nature, hiking and simple living. I like working as part of a team, helping wherever I'm needed and creating a friendly atmosphere. I'm always willing to learn new skills and I believe that every experience is an opportunity to grow.

This will be my first Workaway, and I'm really looking forward to sharing experiences, improving my English and contributing with enthusiasm and a positive attitude.

Hi! I'm Lorena, a 23-year-old from Úbeda, a small town in southern Spain.
I'm a Social Worker and I recently finished my Master's degree in Gender Violence.

I grew up in a farming environment, so I’m used to being around animals,
gardening and helping with outdoor work. My family also runs hotels,
so I’ve been close to the hospitality world and I’m familiar with cleaning,
teamwork and customer service.

I'm a calm, hard-working and respectful person. I love nature, hiking and simple living.
I enjoy helping wherever I'm needed and I learn fast. I believe every experience is
an opportunity to grow and to connect with new people.

This will be my first Workaway, and I'm really looking forward to it.
I want to improve my English, learn about new cultures and contribute with enthusiasm,
respect and a positive attitude.

We have experience helping with everyday household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, cooking, organising and gardening. We are organised, responsible, quick learners and happy to adapt to whatever is needed.

Clara has experience working with children, including children with special educational needs. She enjoys creative activities, helping with homework and creating a safe, positive environment.

Lorena grew up in a farming environment and is used to being around animals, gardening and helping with outdoor work. Her family also runs hotels, so she is familiar with cleaning, teamwork and customer service.

We enjoy working as a team, meeting new people and contributing with a positive attitude wherever we are needed.

We're sociable, open-minded and enjoy meeting people from different cultures. We have a good sense of humour and love sharing conversations, playing board games and spending quality time together. We enjoy a healthy lifestyle, hiking, being in nature, reading, listening to music, trying new foods and discovering local traditions. We also love animals and are always happy to be around them. Above all, we're curious, respectful and excited to learn from every new experience.

Vom Workawayer () für Host (Join our vegan and ...)

Our experience with this wonderful Czech family was truly unforgettable, and we could not have asked for a better Workaway experience. We have nothing but words of gratitude for the hospitality, kindness, generosity and love they showed us throughout our stay.

From the very beginning, they made us feel welcome and comfortable. They were always … read more attentive to our needs and happy to help us with anything we needed. They gave us great recommendations for places to visit and helped us understand how to get around by bus and train, which made it much easier for us to explore the Czech Republic. Thanks to them, we had the opportunity to visit Olomouc, Brno or Bystřice pod Hostýnem, and discover more about this beautiful country. It wouldn't have been possible without Pavel, Misa's brother, who showed us around too.

One of the things we appreciated most was the freedom and flexibility they gave us. We had our afternoons free to make our own plans, go sightseeing and enjoy our time. This balance between helping the family and having time to explore was perfect, and we are very grateful that they encouraged us to make the most of our stay.

The food was another wonderful surprise! They prepared delicious vegan meals for us, and although we were not used to eating this way, we were amazed by how tasty and varied their recipes were. We genuinely enjoyed trying new dishes and discovering different flavours. We also had the opportunity to cook some Spanish-style dishes for them, including beans and lentils, and they were so appreciative of our efforts. Sharing food and recipes was a lovely way to exchange cultures and learn from each other.

The work was pleasant, straightforward and easy to manage. We helped clean and organise different areas of the house, including the pantry, the refrigerator and the kitchen. We also vacuumed the floors, cleaned the windows, spent a day helping in the garden and prepared some meals. Everything was well organised, and we always felt comfortable with the tasks we were given the night before.

Beyond all of this, what makes this family truly special is the way they live together. They are an exemplary family with a healthy, warm and beautiful dynamic. They spend a lot of quality time together, genuinely enjoying one another's company without constantly relying on screens. It was lovely to witness this and to feel welcomed into their everyday family life. Their home has such a positive atmosphere. As we told them the night before leaving, holding back tears, they are the definition of a happy family :)

We loved spending time with the three girls specially during the last few days of our stay. We played together using Czech-English flashcards, and we had so much fun! Meda is a fantastic teacher, a really demanding one when it came to the pronunciation of Czech, which was really hard for us! One of the highlights of our experience was visiting Meda's school and organising a flamenco workshop for her class. Sharing a little piece of our Spanish culture with the children was such a fun and special experience, even if we weren't the best teachers!

We have laughed so much during these two weeks and shared so many beautiful moments that it is difficult to put everything into words. This experience has enriched us in ways we did not expect. We have learned about Czech culture, discovered wonderful places, tried new food, shared our own traditions and, most importantly, met people who made us feel genuinely welcome and cared for. Before coming to the Czech Republic, we had the stereotype that Czech people were rather serious, reserved and introverted. However, this family has completely changed our perception. Although there may be differences in the way we express ourselves or in certain aspects of our cultures, they have definitely broken the stereotype. This experience has reminded us how important it is to travel with an open mind and allow ourselves to be surprised by the people we meet along the way.

This Workaway experience has also brought us even closer as friends. Sharing these two weeks, discovering a new country together and becoming part of this family's daily life has created memories that we will carry with us forever.

We wholeheartedly recommend this family to anyone considering a Workaway experience with them. You will not only have the opportunity to help with manageable household tasks and explore the Czech Republic, but you will also meet a truly special family from whom you can learn so much about enjoying the little things.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for welcoming us into your home, taking such good care of us, sharing your lives with us and making these two weeks so special. We feel incredibly lucky to have met you, and we will always remember this experience with a huge smile. We arrived as volunteers, but we left feeling like part of the family.

Clara and Lourdes spent two weeks with us, and we're so happy they came. I think we've never had such funny workawayers before. I haven't laughed this much in a long time.
