Beschreibung

I'm kind, sweet, thoughtful, and very easy-going. I work hard and will throw myself into any task or challenge I'm presented with. I get on well with everybody and I believe in trying to make the world a better place all the time. I'm very keen to learn about other cultures and ways of life and I honestly just can't wait to get started with my adventure.
There are very few things in this world that I would not like to try - I'll give almost anything a go! So although I might not have experience or skills in a particular area, that won't stop me from doing my very best to learn and apply myself to something new.
I come from a reasonably large family so being social, and being supportive of and helpful to others is important to me.
I have a lot of passion for the planet and the natural world, and would love to be involved in any ecological or sustainability projects.

I'm currently in North Carolina as I have family here. I'd like to spend a month or so in Mexico before I come back up here for Christmas.

English is my native language and both my spoken and written English are very good. I haven't formally taught language but people often ask me for my guidance and support in this area and my friends who are not native English speakers say they find it helpful to talk to me and learn from me as they try to improve their own skills. Although I do not speak any other languages, I believe I have a natural ability with them and can quite quickly grasp their basics and begin to understand what is being said around me. If immersed in a language and culture, I think I could start to learn quickly and would welcome lessons to help me along the way, and I would be more than happy to provide support with English in return. I do understand very, very basic Spanish (I learned some when in school, although that was a while ago now!)

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Most of my working life has been spent in administration or hospitality so unfortunately I can't pretend I have many practical skills or much expertise that I can offer. That being said, I am a quick learner and I'm happy to give everything a try.
If you show me how to help, I will gladly give it my all.
I have also worked in mental health so I have experience in that area, as well as working with older people. I'm very compassionate and understanding and I've been told I put people at ease.
A friend of mine has been renovating his house so I've been helping him with minor plumbing and tiling jobs, and we have constructed a workshop in his back garden too, so I do have a very minimal amount of experience in these areas.
I'm quite adept with computers and Microsoft Office and am very good with children and animals.
Mostly, what I bring is enthusiasm and a desire to help and to learn! I work hard and like to feel that I've made a difference, so I will do my best to ensure I won't let you down.

I enjoy keeping busy and will happily try just about anything, although I do also like to have lazy days, of course.
I don't keep to a regular fitness programme but I am nonetheless quite an active person. I enjoy cycling and jogging, and I'm not afraid of heavy weights either!
I like reading, I love board games and some computer games. One of my favourite hobbies is jigsaws and I'm building quite a collection of these. I'm quite a creative person and I'm always singing. I love all animals. I knit, I sketch, I cook, and I bake.
I'm very friendly and I love chatting with people, getting to know them, and learning all about them, so I will happily spend hours socialising. I'm very empathetic and understanding, and people find me easy to talk to and open up to. I might say that my main skill is people.
I consider myself to be a bit of a jack of all trades. There might not be one particular skill or hobby that dominates my life but I will never shy away from a challenge or learning/trying something new, and I'm generally able to achieve a good standard in whatever I do try.
