unterwegs auf Reisen
We're Evelyne and Simon (Belgian - German). In 2019 we bought a van and converted it into a little house on wheels. We live a nomadic lifestyle and travel through Europe. During the winter we prefer spending time in warmer climates and are eager to learn about sustainable and ecological practices.
Evelyne used to work as a project manager and still works in customer service. Simon is a filmmaker. We travel with our blind senior labrador, Noa. Except for a walk in the morning and the evening, he pretty much spends his time napping in the van. He's great with kids and doesn't care much about other dogs. As he can't see, we do not let him off-leash.
Building our van taught us some practical skills such as painting, woodwork, basic electricity, and plumbing. We volunteered on an ecological farm in Portugal for a month where we had several tasks such as mulching and weeding the garden, building shelves and green houses, cutting and peeling trees, taking care of chickens and horses, etc.
We live in a self-converted van so we have some experience when it comes to basic electricity and plumbing, painting, woodwork, etc.
We have also helped out at an ecological family farm where we worked in the vegetable garden, built constructions, took care of horses, cooked, and so on.
Simon is a filmmaker from Germany. Evelyne is from Belgium and used to work as a project manager and still occasionally works in customer service for a UK company.
