Hello hello! I am Rebecca:D
I have been traveling for around 3 years, alone and with friends, mostly on sustainable and budget-friendly manners. I love meeting new people, being creative, caring for animals and learning new things.

I've had experience volunteering in quite different places, ranging from a dog shelter in Costa Rica to cooking for a circus in Germany. Recently I have spent 3 months working in Switzerland as a waitress to earn for the traveling.

I really enjoy being creative and I paint and draw and write a lot. I also love to upcycle clothes, and cook for my friends and family. I love learning new things, dancing, playing music, listening to music, exploring and expressing myself in various ways, and sharing this with the people around me! I appreciate meeting likeminded (and unlikeminded;)) people and getting to know different lifestyles and ideas, but I also enjoy and need solitude and time for reflection. Recently the up-beat traveling style has lost my interest and I enjoy much more spending longer time getting to know the places and the people, trying to find a feeling of home and peace wherever I am. I love being in nature, and I find it very grounding and "necessary" to spend time there and with animals often, or even all the time if I could;)

I would love to help teaching english or danish if anyone would be interested, and I am always looking for possibilities to practice German or Spanish, or other new language though I am having trouble fitting more than 3 languages in my head, atm that is Danish, English and German. I used to know Spanish too but that magically vanished when I learned german. However i do speak basic spanish and understand a lot.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have experience working especially in gastronomy as a waitress, and as a substitute kindergarden and school teacher. Though recently I have worked mostly through volunteering with Workaway for many causes, a lot of farms and communities especially, mostly doing gardenwork, carpentry, cooking, animal care and creative projects.
I am also quite handy and I love doing varied diy-projects. I also really enjoy cooking, both for myself and for other people. I appreciate being active, doing physical activities, and being outside.
Another skill I have aquired recently is building dry stonewalls, and I quite enjoy it as well!:)
I hope to learn much more from future hosts and other Workawayers!
