Hello!

I am Christa, a 25-year-old girl from the Netherlands. My friends would describe me as social, caring and honest. Since february 2024 I'm a graduated nurse. But before I want to start my working life, I want to travel. I love to travel to see beautiful nature, learn more about other cultures, languages and doing something useful in the meantime.

Being outside makes me happy. I enjoy the life of being outside and working with people instead of sitting behind a desk. I love to sail, dance, bicycle, ice-skating in winter and going to second hand shops. Besides that, I like to a lot to bake and cook. During working days in the Netherlands I try to make healthy things (mostly gluten-free) to feel fit during the day. But balance is key so I will also enjoy 'normal' treets. During my travels I have no dietary requirements.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have a lot experience working in health care, so providing first aid is not a problem in any case ;). Other than that I have a couple of years experience with babysitting (kids aged 2-12) and visited already three families with young children troughout workaway. I also have a little experience with gardening. I have a small garden at home, however, I can learn a lot more about gardening.

I've been living on my own since I was 18. So I am familiar with the household and doing chores in and around the house. I cook and bake a lot, which the people around me don't mind ;). I also like to make things tidy and reorganize things.

I am very motivated to learn everything! I have technical insight so most of the time I learn quickly.

A couple examples of things I did/learnt during workaway:
- Some gardening; creating a strawberry field and weeding
- Painted a cottage in the mountains & painted a ceiling
- Packing potatoes and carrots on a small farm
- Helped renovate a house, mainly deep cleaning
- A lot of childcare / playing with children, cooking, baking, cleaning, making beds, laundry, etc.

Beside Workaway I also did European Solidarity Corps projects:
- In Greece: Organizing a youth fest in West-Macedonia about mental-health, well-being and youth empowerment.
- In Bulgaria: Organizing a 1-day festival about adaptive sports for people with disabilities.

I have a drivers license (more than six years already) and I can drive manual as well as automatic.

I don't drink alchohol, I don't smoke and I don't do drugs.
