Hello!
My name is Carolina, 27, raised in a very small village in Portugal. Lisbon was my home for 6 years until last year when facing the pandemic circumstances I decided to travel alone. I'm passionate about nature, art, people and culture!
Since my first workaway two years ago I've been around scandinavia, I saw the midnight sun, collected berries in the mountains, got overwhelmed by the fjords, cooked and served breakfast in a hotel in the middle of the swedish lapland, learned how to grow mushrooms, met the coolest people, tried skiing and snowboarding. And now I have a job as a waitress. Never stop learning.
I dream about taking organic wine produced in my old grandfather's vineyard to the world and have my own little glamping site!


Oh and in the meantime I met Andy.

Hey Hey,
my name is Andy Neumann, I am 28 years old from Germany, Hamburg.
I grew up in a small village close to Hamburg enjoying the village life and prefer it ever since.
My dad taught me a lot about all kinds of projects around the house, which came in handy so often! Nowadays we work together in a company that develops security systems.
I enjoy travelling a lot, spent 1,5 in Australia after high school, where I learned how to surf. Been chasing waves ever since!
Portugal, Indonesia, Spain, France, Morocco, Mexico, are some of the places I've been exploring!

Carolina:

Growing up in the countryside gave me a lot of knowledge when it comes to farmlife, gardening and animal care. My favourite time is the grape picking season and winemaking!
I love to be surrounded by nature, whether walking in the middle of the woods or spending entire days by the beach. Working in Lisbon as a tour guide driving tuk tuks was a fun tough ride, it gave me a lot of experience working under pressure and stressful conditions (Lisbon traffic can be complete chaos). It was also the place where I studied acting and journalism and made friends for life. I did some small projects in acting and music.
I have experience with:
hospitality specially in restaurant service,
housekeeping (worked as clean team manager in Japan)
hotel breakfast preparation and some cooking skills
basic farm jobs/fruit picking/animal care

Andy:

By now, my job includes customer support, software installations, webcam demonstrations, scheduling and planning of assembling the access control systems within Germany and bookkeeping/taxes.
During Corona, my company was forced to take a 3 months break. During that period I worked for a local farmer, maintaining and harvesting salad and fennel.
I have good Computer and Internet knowledge. That involves Windows applications, website creation/maintenance, progamming basic applications.
In Australia I worked as a water jetpack instructor and worked in a farm picking strawberries.
General Carpentery. I did build my own miniramp for skateboarding, as well as several other smaller projects like building a bed frame, shelves or desks.
For the last year, we have been renovating my grandmas house that involves building a new kitchen, bathroom, drain pipes, water pipes and the demolishing of a huge garage complex. In Germany we say that I know how to use a cordless screwdriver
Basic electric installation knowledge (Installing power plugs, network cables, lights/LEDs).
Basic knowledge in bookkeeping and taxes.
Basic knowledge with a sewing machine.
Basic gardening skills.

We can't wait for our next adventures!!!

Was noch ...

On our travels I usually photograph with my analog cameras and Andy is filming, he's quite good at putting memories together! We enjoy surfing, hiking, camping, snowboarding, eating and cooking good food! Also some good and fresh cocktails ;)
Also practicing yoga and meditation!
