Helloooo!! My name is Caleb and I love my family. Recently, my definition of "family" has been expanded to include not just my relatives, not just humans, but all the World around me. Growing up in the suburbs of the United States, I feel like my connection with nature has been damaged. The society I was reared in doesn't regard the natural world as equal in any way, and I believe this viewpoint is part of what has enabled us to inflict such heavy damage upon it. I want to further part in it. Upon graduating high school, I decided (though I didn't yet have the words to articulate the decision), that I wanted to lead a life of healing, connection, and interdependence with the Earth. A simple life. A life of learning and giving. The journey this decision has lead me on is one that leaves me feeling like one of the luckiest people alive, and though it hasn't always been easy, I have never looked back. I am excited to continue to walk it, to find my people and find my place. I have a deep fascination with primitive skills and the way things were done before modern society. I have a passion for ecological restoration. I love spending time with loved ones, laughing, work that makes my hands calloused, working on teams or in communities, being outside (like, a lot), camp fires, humming, hugs, and so much more. If you read this and have a glowing feeling in your gut (or are just interested in talking), I'd love for you to reach out! Maybe it was meant to be.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I work extremely well on teams and can be a leader when I need to be. I have done professional landscaping, both as a crew lead and a laborer. I have been professionally trained (though not certified) as an outdoor guide. I work well with kids, having an extensive babysitting and tutoring background, have also worked in the food service industry, and have experience living on a farm stay. I would say I'm excellent at reading the room, understanding the people I interact with, and communicating. Some other random and potentially useful skills I have are basic computer literacy, basic power tool use, ability to operate machinery and drive large vehicles. Some more hobby based skills are primitive skills, plant identification, camping, canoeing, making the things I use, writing, and traveling (didn't realize it was a skill at first, but it certainly is).
