Beschreibung

We have both recently quit our jobs after almost 5 years of working in childcare to travel long term. These jobs have enabled us to have a good understanding of others needs and emotions, basic knowledge of housekeeping tasks, good childcare/education skills and communication. Outside of our work we’re very adventurous and eager to learn new things. We love to explore and experience, especially if we get to be in nature. Alex has a keen love of football and sport and has a reasonable knowledge of computing. Beth has a lot of arty and creative hobbies and spends a lot of time reading. We both love to hike, spend time with animals, climb, swim, cook, play games and have a laugh!

Living in the countryside in rural England has given us an appreciation for a slower, more rural life. Growing up around nature and lots of farms has inspired plenty of interest in it.

Our travel has been motivated by a want to see the world outside of our little corner of it. We want to experience new cultures and environments and challenge ourselves by being outside of our comfort zones. As we have been travelling, we have been really wanting to give back to local communities and fully immerse ourselves in local lives (as much as we can!). Our environmental impact and sustainability is something we really notice and we hope to work on this by travelling slowly and intentionally . We are excited to exchange knowledge and have the opportunity to meet everyone!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

- working in childcare for 5 years has given us a knack for childcare, empathy, understanding, communication and housekeeping. We also both learnt a lot about creating activities and running clubs.
- helping my father out with the family business with things like keeping stock and learning about the computers
- Alex studied creative imedia in school for 3 years.
- Beth is converting a campervan with Alex’s help. We have been learning lots of skills to do with mechanics, carpentry, building, painting and just general DIY
- Beth has been studying English literature as an online course for the past few years.
- Both of us enjoy cooking for our families and each other and have received great feedback about it!
- Beth studied history and politics in school and often engages in keen debates and information sharing about these.
- Beth has a knack for language learning, and although I’m only fluent in English, I can pick up the basics of other languages quite quickly.
- We both really enjoy photography and taking aesthetic photos.
- Beth has had a lifelong interest in gymnastics and has spent time both as a gymnast and as a coach.
- Alex loves football and plays for a team back home. He has also taught some skills to his younger brothers
