I was born in the U.K. Moved to Ireland 29 years ago. I am sticking close to home for this year and next hoping to travel further in the future. What motivates me and brings me happiness? Where to start this is not in order of preference!! Adventure, nature, cold water, tai chi, cycling, knitting, dogs, family, friends, fittnes, health, good food and deep breathing. These are things I do on a regular basis which I do believe contributes to my well being.
I am travelling with my wee border terrier Frank, who is now 16, too old to chase sheep, he is a quiet dog and a great companion.

I have been a teacher of Maths and Personal Development for 29 years, recently taken early retirement. For the past 6/7 years I have volunteered in a retreat centre in Scotland during the holiday period, cooking, cleaning, office work and looking after guests and day visitors. My children are all grown up now but have 40 years experience in childcare! I am your perfect house sitter, carer, teacher but also willing to take on new skills.

Vom Workawayer () für Host (Wild, off-grid home and ...)

A special place. I spent 6 weeks there in May/June and returned for a further 3 weeks in August. Andy and Jess are such kind hearted people, always looking out for your welfare. Bernie is a fabulous person who we have had coming back for the last few years for a few months at a time. Bernie is a great worker and is also compassionate and understanding and really easy to work with. She is happy to roll up her sleeves and work hard and she is mixes really well with everyone around her.

Vom Workawayer () für Host (Explore the stunning beaches ...)

This was my first workaway experience and I hit the jackpot. I stayed for around 6 weeks in September and Octiber. Barra and Vatersay are stunning islands, white beaches with turquoise water. I stayed on Jura for 2 weeks would love to have stayed longer and hopefully will in the future. Pi and Lynton are very friendly and accommodating. The facilities were the best that I have stayed in.
