Beschreibung

Starting from August 2024 I'm traveling for almost one year through Central America.

As to many people, traveling is something essential to me. It gives meaning to my life. Certainly traveling for a long time is a unique experience, I discovered before.

One of the things which make a journey unforgetable, certainly when you're traveling alone, is getting to know new people. That's one reason why I have this account. I'd like to get in touch with fellow travelers and find buddies to explore together those beautiful countries I'm visiting.

Another way of meeting people is by doing volunteering work, which I'm very motivated for. I'm looking forward to live and work with locals, people who can help me to get to know their country from their perspective. But there's more to it. The idea of helping people also attracts me. I'm eager to learn new skills and improve my Spanish as well. And since traveling can be exhausting, staying somewhere for a longer time makes this very appealing as well.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I once studied journalism and politcial sciences, which shows my curious side and the fact that I'm interested in the world around me.

I'm a fit person who isn't afraid of doing physical work. I also love working outside.

My professional career consists of several office jobs (in the field of communication), but as a student I did some jobs in involving physical labor during several summers.

I already have different volunteering experiences. In my own country I've been helping young kids with their homework after school. A couple of years ago, I went to Québec, where I worked on different organic farming locations. I also stayed with the host families. And on a long trip through South America, I helped eldery ladies on two different occasions with some household chores and gardening, worked in a hostel and taught youngsters English during a couple of lessons. On my current trip I have been working on a farm in Mexico.

But the most important of all I have to offer: I am very motivated to work and help others!

Was noch ...

I love sports (both active and passive), I´m an avid traveller and I´m always reading a book. Now and then I feel the urge to dance all night long. As a person I would describe myself as laid back, eager to learn, open minded and caring.
