Heya!

I'm Ben - originally from Atlanta, Georgia but currently based in Bristol, UK.

After a couple years of working an office job (ew!), I'm setting out to explore more of the world through connection, learning, and hands-on experience. I'm easygoing, open-hearted, and always up for an adventure — whether that’s hiking through the woods, swimming in cold rivers, or just taking it slow exploring the local forests and hills.

I’m especially passionate about the outdoors — I love identifying and foraging for wild plants and mushrooms and finding creative ways to incorporate them into dinner! I'm always curious about learning about local plants and animals, and getting to know the land and its rhythms wherever I go. I feel most grounded when I’m in nature, and I try to live with curiosity, intention, and a little bit of wonder. 🌿✨

Whether it’s gardening, helping around the house, working on a project, or just being an extra set of hands wherever needed, I’m a hard worker, eager to learn, and genuinely enjoy contributing to something bigger than myself. I'm here not just to travel, but to connect with people, places, and ways of living that are new and meaningful.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I truly enjoy hands-on work—especially outdoors. Whether it’s gardening, farm tasks, building projects, or helping out wherever needed, I'm enthusiastic and keen to learn any new skills and happy to get involved in loads of different tasks :)

I'm a regular volunteer at conservation projects around Bristol and have practical experience in tree planting, gardening, hedge trimming, and invasive species removal.

At home, I care for three dogs and three cats, so I’m comfortable around animals and experienced in their care. I also love cooking simple, wholesome meals with fresh, seasonal ingredients and enjoy helping in the kitchen.

Above all, I bring a positive attitude, good energy, and respect to any environment I'm in.

Was noch ...

I absolutely love to forage - mindfully wondering whilst finding and identifying edible plants and especially mushrooms! During my off days, you'll find me wondering through the woods looking for the next mushroom to incorporate into my dinner.

I try to balance my slow, mindful walks with a more adventurous side, be that wild swimming, climbing, or even exploring underground caves.
