Hi, my name is Ben and I’m 19. I love to travel and meet new people and have been lucky enough to experience different trips and adventures abroad before.
However, with the help of work away, I wish to broaden my horizons and do something entirely new hopefully by helping hosts who need extra hands with whatever it is they are trying to achieve.

I am currently a student studying French at university and I have had a small amount of experience teaching French in a classroom environment. A small part of my degree also consists of learning Spanish which is a skill I am keen to develop. However, I am not fluent in French therefore would also like to develop this skill as well.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Aside from my eagerness to learn and take on new skills during my Workaway experiences, I have previously acquired useful skills by travelling and working in various jobs. For example I have worked in hospitality and a factory, therefore I am capable of working in a high intensity environment as well as being comfortable under pressure, having good time-management skills and working well in a team. I am also an active, genuine and hard-working person who is passionate about volunteering and making a difference. On top of this, I love to cook, exercise, read and have fun!

Was noch ...

As I mentioned before, I cook a lot when I am at home and have experience in how a restaurant functions so would be comfortable in helping out in this aspect of my stay. Also, during my first year of university, I have experienced numerous other activities such as caving in locations such as South Wales and also kayaking in different places in Britain. I love to go running and swimming, but I have also played sports such as football, Tae-Kwon-Do and Squash. Furthermore, I have experience of voluntary gardening. However, I would say my favourite thing to do is travel!
