We are Stefanie and Ben, both 23 years old and biology students at the university of Vienna with focus on conservation and biodiversity management and microbiology.

Stefanie:
Despite living in the bustling city, my roots trace back to a small village in Austria where I spent my childhood surrounded by a variety of animals (dogs, rabbits, horses, cows, cats,...) Growing up in close connection with nature has fueled my passion for it. My enthusiasm for the outdoors and wildlife is not just academic; it's deeply ingrained in my lifestyle. I consider myself an adventurous and curious individual who thrives on discovering new places and cultures. The prospect of meeting new people is something that genuinely excites me, as I believe every person has a unique story to share. Having been raised with a strong work ethic, I am no stranger to physical labor. I learned the value of hard work at a young age and developed a willingness to roll up my sleeves and get things done. I look forward to contributing to the community and making lasting connections during my stay.

Ben:
Like Stefanie, I grew up in a small town in Austria, where I spent my childhood growing up in close distance to nature and animals. Over the years, I have had the privilege of immersing myself in diverse cultures, fostering a deep appreciation for the richness and uniqueness each community offers. My background includes animal care (mostly with dogs) and a variety of physical labor which I am eager to leverage for the benefit of your project. I am a firm believer in the power of collaboration and the positive impact it can have on both personal and professional growth. Whether it's assisting with specific tasks or engaging in community initiatives, I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to the success of your project. In addition to my technical skills, I bring a positive and adaptable attitude. I am confident that my ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships will be valuable in a collaborative environment such as yours.

-extensive experience in working with animals, (animal care, stall work, dog training)
-practice in a lot of different labors (concrete, floor laying, wall construction, woodcutting, painting, different kinds of woodworking, etc...)
-experience in harvesting (grapes/wine)

Steffi:
- extensive experience in working with animals, (animal care, stall work, dealing with animals with challenging pasts, work experience in an animal welfare organization, providing medication)
- experience in harvesting
- knowledge/experience in forestry projects (woodcutting, building log cabins, conservation work...)
