Hey, my name is Rebecca, I'm 20 years old and a German high school graduate who wants to get to know Europe. I'm open to every kind of workaway and I already had a Farmstay in Norway. I love every kind of animal, even if none gets above my little Dachshund Kira. I have always been a nature lover, who can smile about a pretty flower or a great sunset for days. So for me there's nothing better than working outside with animals. I'm also quite able to ride horses and motorcycles. As a young teen, I went to the stable around 5 days a week, just to help where I could and sit on the meadow to watch the horses, not saying that I do not enjoy doing the same things nowadays :) Working with people has also always been a pleasure for me. I volunteered to teach children how to swim as a teenager and worked at several restaurants.
So getting to know new people who share the same interests would be something wonderful for me.
I also love nearly every kind of sport and activity. I play volleyball every week with some friends, I do vaulting on horses, watch football games of my brother every weekend, go for a long walk with my dog in the evenings or volunteer as a lifeguard every summer, because swimming and driving a boat is pretty much fun too.
I also already had a stay in Norway which turned out to be amazing and I would love to have some more of those stays.
As you can see I'm always really excited to try new things and hopefully working abroad will bring some new interests to that list.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I finished school in July, so school was the most important thing for years, because I would love to start studying veterinary medicine at a university next year. But next to normal school days I worked in a few jobs over the years. This summer I worked on a vegetable farm for one season and picked blueberrys and strawberries and helped selling them. I also worked in several restaurants and in a club for all in all 3 years. I have some experience with customers and working on a farm. I also worked on a farm during my first workaway, with all different types of animals. A hobby of mine is riding horses. I have been riding on private horses since I was nine and always have been caring for the horses too.
I have a drivers license for cars and motorcycles, which might be something helpful.
I would describe myself as somebody for whom working with animals is a blessing, because I grew up with so many and always enjoyed it.
So hopefully I can improve my English skills and get to know some new skills in farmwork or in hotel/hostel work. Because I got raised with knowing there's always something new to learn and for me there will be many tasks I have never done and would love to learn, while doing a workaway.
