Hello! We are Matt and Bea, a married couple from the UK looking to start a new adventure! We're in our mid-20s and have taken early career breaks to spend the year exploring New Zealand. Bea has worked in academic publishing for around five years while Matt has spent the past three years working in environmental policy and the wider sustainability sector before that.

We're looking forward to getting out from behind the desk to spend much more time in the outdoors, meet new people and learn new skills.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Matt - I have some experience in DIY, decorating and gardening, having grown up in a house with endless renovations, and I'm pretty comfortable doing practical work (and a fast learner if it is something I've not done before). I'm also a reasonable cook and have experience working in a number of cafes as well as in retail. I'm also generally pretty good with animals and always happy to meet new four-legged friends!

Bea - I've been the cook of our household and would be very comfortable at helping out with cooking, baking and tasks around the house such as cleaning. I'm also hardworking, quick to pick up new tasks and keen to develop my outdoors skills!

Was noch ...

We've spent the last few years living on the edge of the Cotswolds in England and have enjoyed going for countryside walks and visiting the local villages.

Bea - I studied history at university and I'm looking forward to learning more about the history of New Zealand and Māori culutre. I also love anime and Kpop and even founded the first Kpop society at my university when I was a student!

Matt - I'm a big fan of the outdoors and have real soft spot for animals. I also enjoy trying to improve my photography and wider artistic skills - although this is currently more ambition than talent! I'm particularly keen to spend some time on farms to build my understanding and appreciation of this work and way of life.
