Hello. I’m Barbara. I am german and live in a middle sized town in the South of Germany, it’s called Biberach.
My four children are grown up now, the youngest has graduated from High school this year. That’s why I have some capacity left now :)
My motivation to work as a Workawayer: experience new people and sites, learn some new skills, get to know other lifestyles and by the way, discover unknown facts in myself.
In terms of work, I think, I’m able to do lot of things with exception of real construction work and constructive woodwork.
So, painting is, of course, ok, gardening, caring for the kids,...etc
I guess, on a farm there is a variety of jobs on, so I would probably prefer that.
In addition, years ago, I studied the subject of ’Agricultural Biology’, so I’m supposed having an affinity for rural lifestyle inside me.
That time, after graduation, I worked in nature conservation, f.ex. mapping of landscape ecologically valuable elements.
What else: For some time (>10y.) I worked as an Ayurvedic Therapist. That was, besides the kids, with practice in our home, the easiest way to work for money. So I do know sth about alternative medicine.
During the last three years I increased my skills in topics I like to deal with. So I completed trainings in nature education and wild herb guiding. I always enjoyed integrating wild herbs of our natural garden in the family meals.

I speak little swedish - more than ten years ago I lived for some months on the island of Öland - and I’d like to learn it still better again, I forgot a lot in the meanwhile. Of course I can teach, in exchange, german language, if somebody is interested in :-)
