Hello! My name is Bailey and I am 18 years old. I am so excited to be a part of the Workaway community and hopefully contribute what I have to offer to the amazing people in this program! I graduated high school in 2023 and before I go to college I want to expand the world that I know by connecting with new people and places that I have never been. Things that make me happy are yoga, swimming, surfing, hiking, cooking, spending time with friends and family, and lots of other things you can read about in my profile.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I am very open to being taught how to do any skill/trade that is needed of me. I am a quick and enthusiastic learner, and I will use what I know and what I am taught to help out in any way that I can.

I took six years of Spanish through middle school and high school, and speak a little bit of French. I am fluent in English, and have taken many advanced courses regarding the English language and would be more than happy to teach what I know.

I am Red Cross certified in CPR and First Aid. I have worked 5 years as a lifeguard/first responder and am experienced in dealing with injuries and medical emergencies. I am also well versed in anatomy and would love to share what I know.

I am a fairly good cook; I cook and bake almost all of my own meals at home. I have cooked on many different surfaces (stoves, propane stoves, camp fires, wood stoves, etc).

I was a member of my high school’s garden/green club, so I have some experience in planting/harvesting, but I would love to learn more and am completely willing to be taught more about the field. I also do a lot of landscaping with my dad on our property, and I could be a great help on properties that need work.

I was a babysitter and have worked with kids at one of my lifeguarding facilities, and I would love to help out with taking care of children.

I swam competitively in high school and would love to teach anyone who is interested in learning. It is a wonderful and useful skill and exercise to know. Where I live I surf a lot, and from working as a lifeguard for so many years I have a good understanding of the ocean (currents, rip tides, breaks, wildlife, etc).

One of my favorite things to do is Yoga, and I be more than willing to teach others what I know. I would also love to learn more about Yoga from different people and perspectives and expand my own knowledge.

I love sports and games! I played many competitive sports throughout my years at school (lacrosse, track, soccer, swimming, etc) and I love playing sports for my own enjoyment.

I mentioned that I love yoga, and I would really love to expand my knowledge of the practice.

I love adventures of any kind; hiking, surfing, kayaking, climbing, biking....basically anything! If I have never done a certain activity, I am always excited to learn and to try.
