Good day!
My name is Aoife (pronounced Eefah), I’m 42 and I’m passionate about art, animals, nature, teaching, and spending time outdoors. Environmental protection and human rights are extremely important to me, and I find it deeply troubling to witness the harm being done to our planet. Back to the basics and learning about sustainable living is what my soul craves; away from the madness going on in this modern-day world.

I am a hard worker. I put heart into what I do and have a get ‘er done attitude. I have a lot of experiences in different types of jobs: landscaping, cleaning/organizing, child/senior/animal care, medical and more. My most recent Workaway was cordwood building, and I loved the experience. I want to learn more about building self-sufficient homes and living more simply with nature.

I have degrees in Health and Exercise science and occupational therapy assisting along with a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) and medical assisting certificates.

I’m currently traveling with my 9-pound Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix and loyal sidekick, my rock, Ruth. She is trained, well behaved and is very submissive. I’ll be housesitting for a friend in Rodenbach, Germany until early January and currently have a few workaways lined up until the beginning of February. I’m planning a journey from Germany to Spain and Portugal and would love to stay with welcoming hosts along the way.

Was noch ...

I’ve done Irish dancing for most of my life and love teaching it. I also enjoy creating art—wood burning and painting are two of my favorites. I’d love to learn more artistic skills and share what I know with others.
In school, I did an internship at a hippotherapy clinic and absolutely loved it. Being surrounded by animals is a must for me.
