Hello:), my name is Anouk and I am a 20-year-old from Germany. A couple of months ago I finished school and even though I really am looking forward to start studying (probably psychology), I decided to take a gap year. I realized that I needed time to experience life besides school; experience new things that I may have never experienced before. In order to get to know myself and the world that we live in better I believe that it is a wonderful opportunity to meet new people and cultures. Furthermore I love to learn about realities of life that are different to mine and to support people in different ways. I believe in open mindedness and a positive outlook on life and towards people.
In general, I am a relaxed and rather calm person who also likes to spend some time alone. Nevertheless, I love being with people, experiencing things together or to meet someone new.
Also, I am a friendly and enthusiastic person who likes to be helpful and enjoys talking to people about things that move them.
Spending time with my family and friends is very important to me.
Most of the time do we go out together, play games, do arts and crafts, just chat, discuss or watch a series together.
In addition, I play the piano, I like to read and I love to dance what I am being able to do in a dance school for three years now.
Through the opportunity of a workaway I hope to get to know new people and perspectives as well as a different culture (I know I have said that already but I just really mean it :)). Additionally, I would like to support a place and its people in their cause. Also, I think it will help me to broaden my horizons and develop myself further.

In general, I am an adaptable and flexible person who is open to different activities and life situations. I am also very receptive and not afraid of new challenges.
I have work experience as a waitress, as I have been working in a café/bar for 2.5 years. Additionally, I have experience in working with children through a temporary job at a secondary school as a substitute. Also, I have two siblings that are 7 years younger than me who I look after regularly and spend a lot of time with.
In both jobs I was able to gain important experience in working with people. Furthermore, I learned how to work in an attentive and structured but also creative way and how to deal with stress at work.
