Hello,
I am Simone from Radebeul near Dresden-Germany, 53 years old and have a daughter, two grandsons who are 3 and 8 years old. I have Greek roots and would like to get in touch with my roots. During the Second World War, my grandfather was separated from his Greek family and taken to Germany to do forced labor. That's where he met and married my grandmother. That's why I'd like to get in touch with the land, the air, the climate, the culture and the people. It was while looking for such contact with local life and accommodation that I came across Workaway.
I am searching for my true self and my origin.
I am a very reliable and trustworthy helpful, mindful and sustainable person. After 19 years of service at the post office, I founded a domestic service company. So I supported people in the household for 10 years. In 2016 I did part-time training to become an educator. From then on I always worked with young people. Training as a trauma educator gave me even more understanding and sensitivity for the adolescents. I like to gently convey new impulses and perspectives to people who are looking for help.
I like the chirping of the birds in the garden, the snuggling of cats and the genuine joy of the dog when we meet, the constant change of nature, eating unwashed fruits and vegetables freshly picked. Like the warm sun that warms me and the water that lets me feel myself.

I am very familiar with gardening and keeping animals as I have cats, chickens and dogs myself
I am happy to take on practical work such as cutting hair, everything that involves housework, building furniture, room design/decoration, looking after children. A great talent of mine is organizing and structuring. I am inquisitive and willing to learn new things.
