Beschreibung

What brought me to Canada is my growing interest in the First Nations, Indigenous languages and culture, especially Ojibwe. I value connection and therefore speak many languages. I like to see reality from another point of view. I am a deep thinker, a seeker and a great listener. I lived in amazing, beloved Estonia for the last 10 years where I developed my passion for XC skiing. I hope to discover beautiful Canadian nature, meet interesting people and get inspired for the next chapter of my life. I have been an office worker for years and I want to check out other, alternative lifestyles.

I enjoy learning and explaining languages. I am usually interested in the least practical languages, not the ones widely spoken. This includes the less known European languages like the Baltic States (Lithuanian, Latvian, Estonian), Scandinavian languages (Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, Icelandic) or almost extinct languages like Irish/Gaelic and the Indigenous languages of North America. Kanienkeha (Mohawk) is not even on the list to add here. There is no time to learn all the languages I want to, so most of them are stuck on beginners level. I would be happy to teach the languages I know or share interesting facts about them!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I speak a few languages fluently and always keep learning new ones.
Professionally I worked in bilingual client service and graphic design with some project management. My strong side was problem solving and communication.
I also enjoy physical work and being outdoors. I am patient and detailed at work. I love learning new things, but I am also never bored with simple repetitive tasks, which allow me to relax in my mind.
I have a Canadian citizenship obtained during a 5-year period spent in Ontario in my childhood, so I don't need any visa for work. Here in Canada I've been working as a busser in a restaurant and helped a relative who is an accountant with some database work.

Was noch ...

After a wonderful and inspiring year in Canada, I am returning to Estonia and would like to learn more about starting life from scratch in a rural area. I guess I am not coming back to the old routine of living in an apartment and having an office job! :)
