Ich bin gerade

Beschreibung

I am a chatty, happy go lucky person, always keen to be in nature, to learn something new and to share good laughs and good food! I love a good hike, swimming/snorkeling/diving, a locals pub and I think I'm a decent cook.
I was a teacher in England for 5 years and have a passion for education and working with children. You can always count on my for a silly song or story!
I am brand new to work away but I have volunteered in Borneo and Ecuador doing community and conservation work. I also taught for 2 months in Cambodia in a rural school. It is an ambition to teach in a small school in South America in the next year or two.
For the last couple of years I have been on a working holiday visa in Australia working in small towns and travelling/living in my van.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

My main experience is in education and hospitality. I am great with people and customer service is definitely my strong point.
My other strength is working with children; aside from teaching, I also ran a school holiday club at a caravan park and have done lots of private tuition in my home town, online and through the small towns I've worked in. Education and child development is a passion of mine and child protection and support is a strong value. I also have the Level 5 TEFL qualification and can teach English as a language. Unfortunately, I do not speak any other languages. I am still keen to learn but it is something I find difficult.
I am a good cook, have got experience working in kitchens as well as front of house and I generally enjoy cooking for lots of friends.
At the farm I learnt many new skills, I can use a pallet jack, and can do some basic handy work/landscaping. I briefly worked as a painter too. However, I am a quick learner and am super keen to learn new things and get my hands dirty.
