Hello there,
I’m Alex a civil engineer currently embarking on travels to broaden horizons, experience new cultures, connect with communities and live a fulfilling life.
Initially using a couples account (now owned by my friend) I have volunteering teaching English and helping around the house. Lombok, 1 month. Thailand, 2 weeks. Vietnam 2 weeks.
I’m seeking further cultural enrichment, community engagement through teaching, sustainable projects and cultural exchange.

I’m a consultant civil engineer, specialising in ports and project management. I can help advice general engineering questions you might have for ongoing or future projects.
Since travelling I’ve now spent 2 months teaching English, across 3 counties, for 3-17 year olds. Focusing on beginner and intermediate levels. I’ve completed a 40h English Second Language course.
I’ve long volunteered at festivals supporting sustainable initiatives and general helping.
Seeking further teaching, community initiatives, sustainable/low plastic living and earth building.

Summary: lovely property to unwind, wonderfully kind hosts, home cooked food, culture exchange through Batak Script lessons, very suitable room. Peaceful property, located only 15mins from Siantar if you need to pop into town.
