Hi! My name is Alex and I am a medical student at Brown University. I grew up in Maryland and have traveled all over the United States. I want to continue traveling all over the world to meet new people and experience new cultures! I love outdoor activities and am passionate about education, public health, and the environment. My favorite things are watching the sunset, drinking tea, good conversations, and playing guitar. I speak English and Spanish.

I stayed for 2 weeks at the farm in August and it was one of the highlights of my travels in Japan. The farm is located in the beautiful Japanese countryside surrounded by rice paddies, rivers, and mountains. Since it was the summer we started work at 6 am (to beat the heat) and ended at 11 (with two breaks). The work… read more

I spent the month of July with Helena’s family and it was a great experience. The family is extremely welcoming and kind, and I felt right at home. I spent my days watching over the two boys Izan and Alan, teaching them some English, taking them to the park, and swimming with them in the pool every day. On the days Helena was… read more

Working on the farm with Ximena was an incredible experience. Amazing communication (you are initially contacted by Ximena's daughter). The work on the farm is tough but extremely rewarding.
