New experiences and adventures around the world

Hi! We are Agustín and Agustina, we are both 36 years old and we have been together for more than 14 years! We come from La Plata, capital of the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

In March 2018 we left our country to embark on what would be our biggest adventure (until that moment) and what would start this incessant passion for traveling, for knowing new and different cultures, customs, food, and above all to meet and connect with other people with exciting experiences to share and the same desire to do it as we do.

We spent a year living in France (most of the time in the wonderful city of Nice, on the French Riviera, and then a few months in Les Houches, a small and charming village in the French Alps, very close to Chamonix). During that time, we worked —sometimes together and sometimes separately— as waiters in a restaurant, in the kitchen, as bartenders, preparing and serving breakfast and cleaning in a hostel, and we even sold cruise trips.

After that thrilling experience, we had the fortune to travel for three months around Europe and the Southeast of Asia and, at that moment, we reaffirmed that more than an experience, this was a way of life that we wanted to lead.

In November 2020 we returned to live in Nice but, after a while (and after almost two years of pandemic, restrictions, border closures and openings, etc.), the wanderlust returned. We didn't want to just "move abroad" but to be on the move, to explore the world a bit, with no time constraints. So we decided to take the house on our backs and embark on the new adventure.

We believe this is an incredible experience that will surely enrich us a lot. Learning new trades, meeting new people, languages, customs, beliefs, among many other things, is what motivates us to choose this path, this way of life.

We are sociable people, we like to share with friends, a meal, a beer, a “mate” (for those who do not know it, it is a drink or infusion that is consumed a lot in Argentina and is based, above all, on the concept of sharing a moment).
We are very different, but we both love music, movies, cooking, being in contact with nature and, mainly, we share this passion for traveling. Our intention is not only to learn, to get the most out of this peculiar experience, but also to leave a small mark on those who choose us to share their project, their home, their time, their pets.

In addition to Spanish, our mother tongue, we speak English and French. We would like, anyway, to practise and improve our command of both languages and, of course, to be able to teach a little bit of Spanish (and why not, some Argentine dialect).

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Agustina: I am a psychologist, so, as you can imagine, I really enjoy interacting with other people, listening to their stories, maybe sharing my own, and I have, since before I started my studies, a constant, persistent urge to help others, to do something meaningful that really impacts someone else's life. In addition, I am a teacher in Psychology, I have worked in schools with children with disabilities. I also enjoy working with animals, working outdoors, and cooking.

Agustín: I am an accountant and, in addition, i studied 4 years for a degree in computer science (but did not finish it). I worked for 3 years selling cruises. I am a sports lover, especially football, skiing and scuba diving (we have both done the initial "Open Water" course in Thailand, it was AMAZING). I love animals and working outdoors

Was noch ...

We don’t have a fixed destination (there are so many places we would like to visit!) so we add just a few and we will define our trip according to the workaway proposals that interest us.
