Hello, my name is Adélaïs. I recently celebrated my 24th birthday, and last June, I earned my degree as a clinical psychologist specializing in working with children and adolescents. After five years of intensive studies and professional experience in a retirement home, I now aspire to explore the world, discover new cultures, and marvel at breathtaking landscapes. Traveling has always been a passion of mine, and I am convinced that this intercultural experience will enrich my professional practice. Voluntering would afirm my skills in psychology in an international environment which would be an oportunity for me to adapt my knowledge to the specific needs of the local population. I also love sports, as they allow me to set challenges for myself and push my limits.

I would be interested in teaching French to people from another culture while also deepening my knowledge of their language. I would also like to improve my English in order to speak it fluently. It has been a dream of mine since childhood. Having American cousins who speak little French, I have always wanted to understand them and communicate with them in English to break the language barrier between us. Moreover, learning English is a great opportunity to travel and connect more easily with the rest of the world.

As a psychologist, my diverse experiences have allowed me to develop a strong ability to adapt to each person I meet. I am skilled at building trust and providing active, empathetic listening to those in need. I am also capable of handling sensitive situations with ethics and professionalism.
Furthermore, have had the opportunity to work with people of all ages, whether in leisure centers, a university restaurant, a gerontology center, or during internships with children and adolescents with disabilities, as well as children placed under child welfare services. These diverse experiences have allowed me to develop essential interpersonal skills, such as teamwork, patience, flexibility and pedagogy.
