Beschreibung

I am currently on my gap year and my goals are to experience a variety of cultures and languages. I will start my psychology bachelor in September in the Netherlands as I am interested in understanding what makes us who we are as individuals and how souls and personalities are incredibly rich and differ from one another yet simultaneously we all are human and tend to have more similarities than we think.

I love travelling, I have luckily been able to see a lot of places and different countries, especially in the nature because it is when I am disconnected from busy societies and media where I feel at peace the most. I love drawing, painting and doing henna whilst listening to music, I grew up in Tanzania so I love Afrobeat's, but i enjoy music from all over. I enjoy Yoga as well, It is still new to me but am heading to Kerala, India to join a Yoga retreat in hopes to better understand it and to learn about the psychology and philosophy of India as that was a course offered as well. I value conversations, whether deep, humourful or just casual and I enjoy connections with people whether brief or ones where I have the opportunity to connect with somebody better and more deeply. Lastly I enjoy learning and I hope to do so with anyone willing to share their knowledge:)

Languages are incredible, being able to learn another language can give you cultural knowledge and accessibility to another world of rich information and understanding. I am currently trying to improve my Spanish and Kiswahili, I enjoy listening to Spanish music and I find it a shame I cant understand the lyrics but when I translate them they are absolutely beautiful, a lot even poetic. It also makes travelling more fun and I can probably make deeper connections with people.

I can speak English fluently and German intermediately.
I love sports and would consider myself physically active.
I have experience with social work, I used to work as an animator in a German hotel in Fuerteventura for 6 months. I also value communication whether between 1 person or a team, its important to know where we all stand.
I have experience with hands on work, I worked a month as a tiler, and another month with heating and sanitation.
I have experience with hiking and bouldering, I climbed Kilimanjaro and Mt Meru in Tanzania and other mountains in Europe.
I have a license for scuba diving, open water.

I am open to all new activities, learning is what makes me happy after all. I enjoy company and laughter but I too find silence to be important once in a while, I find peace in both environments. I am excited to see how many new experiences I can make with all of you:)
