Beschreibung

We are a couple from New Zealand who love meeting new people and having new experiences. We enjoy a challenge and are not afraid of hard work.

We love to garden together, and have had a successful vegetable patch. We love to go on walks to beaches and rivers and enjoy a swim.

Aaron is a Structural Engineer and has been working as an engineer for the last 7 years. Lauren is a Primary School Teacher and has been teaching 10-12 year-olds. We have both been involved in running youth programs and camps, and have a lot of experience with looking after groups of people.
We have been married for 3 years and in that time have lived with many other people and travel around the Pacific, we love an adventure and are always keen to try new things!

We are planning to travel around Europe for 2025 to experience new cultures and people. We are really excited to do things that we would not be able to do here in New Zealand. We love the Workaway vision of slower, more settled travel, where we are able to more deeply connect with the places we visit.

We want to travel to experience and be inspired by alternative ways of living that focus on the local community and nature. Our long term dream is to eventually settle back in NZ, with a vision of living a life that is connected to others.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

We are friendly and work well with others.
We have a lot of experience working with and along young people, as we have both been youth workers for many years. Lauren is also a primary school teacher, so really enjoys spending time with children.
Additionally, we are highly organised and can organise people and events with confidence.
As a couple, we spend a lot of our down time gardening in our vegetable and flower patch. We find working with our hands and being outdoors relaxing.
We have both grown up with animals and have a real love for caring for them, and are really keen to grow our knowledge and skills in working with animals.
We have some experience with hospitality, and would love to have the opportunity to expand our skill set in this area.
We are excited to have new opportunities to learn new skills.
