Hello! Myself and my partner Andy are looking to experience the beauties of New Zealand and thought what better way than with Workaway! We've been in NZ for the past year and have loved staying with different hosts whilst also housesitting on a few occasions.

We are positive, happy-go lucky types who are always keen to try new experiences, cultures and enjoy meeting people from different walks of life!

We're both keen sportspeople - back home Andy plays field hockey while I play netball competitively. We also love biking, watersports and long walks/trekking (anything outdoors or adventure fuelled really) ... you can imagine we're very excited to be here in NZ!!

We both enjoy cooking and often make dishes from around the world, as well as our beloved staples! Andy's pies, lasagne and risotto are my personal favourites :D

While we don't have much experience with building/wood work, we are keen to learn. We do a lot of gardening, DIY and decorating back home. Andy has a growing tool collection that he's always keen to reach for whenever possible!

When we're not out doing activities, we enjoy settling in with a cup of tea to watch movies, read and play card/board games! I'm also personally a big lover of all things creative and like spending quiet moments writing/journaling, drawing and photography, especially when surrounded by nature's beauty!

We can’t wait to explore this wonderful country and get to know & help people along the way :)

Was könntest du arbeiten?

As project managers we’re great at getting jobs done no matter how big or small. We both also like getting stuck in to gardening, housework and DIY tasks.

We’re keen cooks, often cooking for friends and family back home. As well as helping family with their gardens.

We are both great with children, having baby and child family members we often babysit/take care of.

We are both fit, healthy and active individuals frequently playing and training in our respective sports – field Hockey and Netball. We have less experience in farming/building but are practical, creative thinkers, who are eager and quick to learn new skills and give things a go.

Other info about us and our backgrounds… I studied Media and Communications at University and then went into a career in the creative industries – PR & Marketing, Project Management, Photography and Video Production. Andy studied German and Mandarin at University and is always keen to use and practice these languages.

We’re both proficient in Microsoft office packages (as dull as it sounds, we love a spreadsheet, action list and budget tracker). I can also use Photoshop, often editing work photos as well as photos for my friends’ small business websites and social media.

Was noch ...

We absolutely love games and creative play as well as playing cards and board games (Cluedo, Scrabble, Chequers, Chess, we've also recently learnt how to play Mahjong which is great!). We enjoy listening to music and we both play a little bit of piano and guitar (although, we're definitely not pros!)

  I can’t eat deep water fish (i.e.Salmon, Tuna etc) due to allergies. Andy has no allergies
