  We’re a warm, fun-loving family of six who have recently swapped England for the beautiful Costa del Sol in southern Spain — and we’re looking for someone lovely to join our little adventure!
  
  We have four brilliant kids: three boys aged 8, 6 and nearly 4, plus a 2-year-old little girl. Life in our house is busy, noisy, playful and full of energy. There’s football in the garden, Lego on the floor, books to read, little adventures to be had, and plenty of opportunities to get outside and enjoy the Spanish sunshine. ☀️
  
  We're looking for someone who genuinely LOVES being around young children — someone playful, warm, confident and up for getting stuck into family life. Someone who doesn't mind being a little silly, can handle a few naughty monkeys with a smile, and understands that sometimes the best thing you can do is get down on the floor and play.
  
  In return, you'll be welcomed into an open, friendly household where we want you to feel comfortable, included and at home. We're used to having people stay with us, and we hope this can be a lovely experience for you, too.
  
  What we'd love a helping hand with:
  
  We're looking for a bit of extra support to make busy family life run more smoothly. This means a mix of playing with the kids and helping us stay on top of the household stuff.
  
  Occasional food prep: helping prepare simple meals and snacks for the family.
  
  End-of-day reset: a bit of clearing up and tidying so we can start the next day wit everything in order!
  
  We're not looking for perfection. We're looking for someone with a good attitude, a bit of initiative and a willingness to pitch in without needing every little thing explained.
  
  You might be exactly who we're looking for if you...
  
  Are positive, warm, playful and naturally good with children.
  
  Get genuine joy from spending time with toddlers and young kids — even when they're tired, grumpy or being absolute monkeys!
  
  Are confident entertaining children of different ages and happy to get involved rather than sit on the sidelines.
  
  Have good initiative and can spot what needs doing without always being asked.
  
  Are practical, independent and comfortable looking after yourself, including preparing your own meals.
  
  Enjoy being outdoors, going for walks, playing football or simply getting some fresh air.
  
  Speak English well enough to communicate confidently with the children and understand what they need.
  
  Bonus points if you know your way around a nappy change. We're talking serious bonus points. 😂

  FYI - We're also new to this part of Spain, so we're still discovering the area ourselves! We may not be the best tour guides just yet, and getting around without a car might take a little planning. There are buses around, though, and if you're independent, curious and happy to explore, we'd love for you to discover the area alongside us! Vamos!

  We are an open, creative, and fun loving family. I’m American and work as a creative director . We love cooking and spending our weekends exploring the gorgeous nature on our doorstep.
  
  Competent English is important for communicating with us and the children, but we are open to helping you improve your conversational language skills so you needn't be a pro :)
  
  We would love to show our kids that there is a big wide world out there so other cultures, customs and cooking are very much welcome in our home.

  Sotogrande in Spain is a car-culture so it may take some googling to work out how best to get around to other towns via public transport. We've only recently arrived ourselves but are happy to help you in any way we can.
