  We are a retired couple living 2kms from the centre of Aix en Provence, a 20 minutes walk from the University, in an old Provençal house with a large garden. We like walking, reading, writing, cooking, travelling, and getting to know other people and cultures.

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  Aix is a university town with many student activities to join in if wished., and a large number of local associations and clubs. Let us know what you are interested in and we can put you in touch with the people who can help you enjoy your stay. We are a bilingual French / English couple with a particular interest in cultural exchanges focused on art, language and writing. As such, we can accompany you in your exploration of the cultural richness of Aix and the surrounding area, its history, cuisine, and the local traditions of Provence. You will be welcomed into our home and our daily life as one of the family, whilst at the same time enjoying your independence as you see fit. We have only two aims: to ensure that you benefit as much as possible from your stay, and to improve our Spanish conversation skills.

  Arbeit

  We are currently trying to learn Spanish but after making progress during a recent stay in Spain, we need to maintain our level, and motivation, by having someone to speak to. We are looking for a native Spanish speaker to give us conversation practice for one or two hours a day. Possibly also provide occasional light help around the house, but the main focus is on Spanish.

  Unterkunft

  Accommodation is on the first floor of our house, with independent bedroom and bathroom, all linen provided. You will have your own key to the house to come and go as you please, and access to a fully equipped kitchen if you wish to cook your own meals. We can also share meals if you wish - the arrangements are flexible.

  Apart from Aix itself, there is a lot to see and do in the area, with all the main towns (Avignon, Arles, Marseille) and many villages easily accessible by public transport.
