  Beschreibung

  We live in a former cooperative house with a big garden, built in 1919 on the southern outskirts of Dresden. Our house is located between a prefabricated housing disctrict (Plattenbau) and an idyllic old village center with a church on the hill. In 2013, we bought the house with the Mietshäusersyndikat, an association of self-organized house projects in Germany. We renovated our house to make it more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly and were able to move in in summer 2016.
  
  Our community consists of 15 adults and 11 children, whose ages span around 75 years. Families and individuals live here in separate living areas or in rooms along a shared corridor. About half of the living space is shared. Mutual support and authentic, trusting communication are particularly important to us. We create space for personal development, reflection and growth.
  
  In addition, we actively promote a culture of togetherness and reject discrimination in any form. We are committed to this in the district and beyond. Since April 2017, we have been involved in community-supported agriculture and have set up a food depot for the neighborhood. Many people have helped us to create a place where we feel very comfortable and which is not just a home for us.

  We hope you benefit from our alternative way of living in community and from our place as part of the inviting city of Dresden with its beautiful surroundings. Our group consists of people with different interests and connections to other projects. Thus you can easily get in touch with social projects for refugees, local permaculture ideas, science stuff, and many other interesting people or things.

  Arbeit

  Since there is still a lot to do inside the house and around it, we'd be very happy about people who like to share their energy with us, working, singing, cooking, and laughing together.
  
  At the moment, we're searching for somebody who likes to help us with one or more of the following tasks:
  - gardening
  - painting work
  - artisan work - lots of little things in the house
  - cooking for a lot of people
  - playing with the kids
  
  Please stay a minimum of 5 days.

  Unterkunft

  Unfortunately our room capacities are limited at the moment. We can not guarantee to provide a private room, even though we always try. But of course you'll get a place to sleep, can use our community kitchen, living room and bathroom. In the warmer times of the year you can stay in our caravan.
