Hello!
We are a family of 5; Hélène (39, mother), Jean Charles (39, Father), Salomé, Tao and Isiah (8, 6, 5) living in the countryside in Normandy, close to the sea and numerous historical places.
We love to meet people from everywhere, we love traveling backpacked and we have now hosted a few workawayers with a lot of satisfaction.
We are looking for somebody interesting in sharing our life and help us with children and horses.
We live in a wonderful place, but you have to love nature, easy life and animals ! My husband is a farmer (dairy cows and horses) and I'm a veterinarian.
We need your help for a few hours a day, then you are free and you have a car to move freely.

We leave in an incredible region of history; specially concerning Second World War, many places and museums to visit.
Then you'll discover fantastic landscapes; in the north; La Hague, with its cliffs upon the sea (smells Ireland!), small harbours and islands (between us and great britain), the famous Mont Saint Michel in the south, and the natural park where we live (a good place for birds' lovers).
We can afford french classes if you are interested.
Then, if you re interested in dairy cows and horses, we have many things to share.
And...of course we'll learn from each other!

Arbeit
The essiantial point is help with children and secondary horses. Then if you want to help us in another way, you're welcome but feel free.
During the (horse) breeding season, from Mars to July, I (Hélène) work 6 morning on 7. That would be perfect if you can prepare the "3"on the morning; breakfast, dressing and take them by car to school or kindergarden (All takes about 1h30).
As children and me are less in a rush...
During the day, you are free to visit, stay home or help on farm if you are interested. Near my vet work, I spend my time dealing with my horses at home.
Then, kids are back around 5 pm or later if i'm at work.
Then, we would like you to cook something simple for dinner and help for (basic) tidying of the house ; that takes another 1h30, depending if you like to cook or not 😊
We also welcome help on week-ends because Jean-Charles works all days, and sometimes I'm on duty too. But of course we can plan and find someone else if you want to leave for a few days.
Everything is adjustable ! It’ s not a large volume of work here but we need somebody very flexible.
Please note that our horses are mainly breeding horses , riding can be a possibility but it can’t be the objective of your application, as it’s not our main activity (and request).

Unterkunft
We live in a big old farmhouse in the countryside.
The house has 2 bigs rooms at the first floor and 5 upstairs. We have two bathrooms so, it's easy to share. We lend you our room, which is quite big, with a double bed. We installed a desk and wifi connection.

We lend you a car to visit the surroundings. Then, if you want to go far there is a train station 20 minutes far from home.
