  Our manor house is very well preserved 19th century manor house. Located in middle of Kurzeme just 6 kilometers away from Kuldiga in village Padure. We work on restoration of manor house and park, organize concerts and events. Looking for some helping hands and heads full with creative ideas.

  Learn and practice restoration, cultural exchange, new ideas, and experience. In summertime we make concerts and exhibitions and events. The owner, that is me, was a member of the board of Latvia's Association of Castles and Manors and can tell plenty of things about history and manor houses in Latvia.

  Arbeit

  It would be good if have some practical knowledge in restoration of wood. Manor house have 64 original windows. We need to restore them. Good if You know how to do it but we can also teach. Park is old and have not been groomed for long time. We want to make old time walking paths with old methods and materials, plant some trees, bushes and flowers. In manor house is taking place concerts and cultural events and there is need for some help to show where to go or make a small excursion. Most important is open mind and creative thinking. We have 2 hectares big park in which we need to make paths like in 19th century.

  Unterkunft

  We have 11 bedrooms with beds. In the manor house, there is a bathroom with hot water and a toilet. Volunteers can stay in shared rooms or individual rooms. The Manor house is big and there is eleven private rooms but it winters most of them are cold. :)
  We will provide food and the best one will prepare. We have fully renovated new kitchen with two ovens.

  Was noch ...

  City Kuldiga is just 8 kilometers away and in summer there is plenty things to do. Restaurants, open-air cinema, happenings, sightseeing, art exhibition, swimming pool with sauna. Just 3 minutes away is millpond suitable for swimming in summer time.
  Bus usually goes till Kuldiga but I am ready to pick-up.
