Hey Workawayers,
My name is Pritam and I am from Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. I run a desert camp where travellers can experience local Rajasthani culture, desert life and hospitality.
We currently have 5 locally paid staff members: 1 cook, 1 kitchen helper, 2 housekeeping/room-cleaning staff and 1 manager.
Workawayers will not be asked to prepare or serve food or drinks to paying customers. Volunteers can instead help with reception, social media, painting, cultural activities and other suitable tasks, while sharing experiences and cultures with our team and other travellers -

Staying with us at the desert camp gives Workawayers the opportunity to experience the culture, traditions and daily life of Rajasthan and the Jaisalmer desert. They can learn about local food, desert life, traditional music, village culture and hospitality.
We will welcome Workawayers as part of our team and make them feel comfortable and included. We will spend time with them, share local experiences and help them explore Jaisalmer and the surrounding desert.
Workawayers can also share their own culture, language, skills and travel experiences with us and our team. We hope to learn from each visitor while giving them a genuine and memorable experience of Rajasthan. -

We provide volunteers with accommodation and 3 meals per day during their stay. Meals include local Indian food and vegetarian options. Volunteers can enjoy meals together with the team and experience local food and culture. -

During their time off, volunteers can explore Jaisalmer Fort, local markets, Gadisar Lake and the surrounding desert. We can help volunteers with information about local sightseeing and transport. Volunteers can also spend time with our local team, experience Rajasthani culture and learn about life in the desert
